tatoo
:
permanent scaring of skin.
yes, although the Bible didnt say that you cannot have tatoo on your body, but i believe that it is not God's intention and will for us to have tatoo.
Let's start from the very beginning...the beginning of time...
When God created us He created us with the image of God. He created us to look perfect. We are already perfect in His eyes, what more do we need to touch up to make us look more perfect?
And who decides what looks cool or uncool in this world? Your friends? Pls they are a little too small to represent the global fashion world dont you think? And what are friends for? To make you do bad things?
Although it has a bad reputation in the society, and you dont care what others think, your appearance would affect others someway somehow, and it will affect your future someway somehow. For example (the classic example), at a job interview, would the person hire a nicely-dressed, muscular, decent guy or a fat slob covered with tatoo on his arms wearing crumpled clothes. You decide.
tatoo is something you put on your skin and never take it out ever again. if you think you wont regret, dont try it.

would you do something if you know you would regret later?
:
at first when i first receieve this sms from my friend, i discussed with my friend and then thought well, it depends on whether it is the right thing or not. if right thing then do la. but when i was on my way home, i thought to myself and said no, cos if it is the right thing to do, then you shouldnt regret it right? but for this to happen, infalliable thinking must happen, and infalliable is impossible.
recently i have done something wrong, something that i wouldnt tell anyone. it seems like i have like degraded myself, put myself even lower. it seems like i am stained, marked unworthy even to talk to God. sometimes, this is the reason why some christians backslide. it is like God is the God of the universe, and I dont deserve his time. it is actually something that i thought i would never do, it is something i kept reminding myself not to do. (but dun wry police, it is not illegal by law, but illegal by conscious:))
just before i did it, i was like i know what the consquences already, but a moment of folly is all it takes. after that little moments of stasfication that i did it, the guilt clinging onto my heart outweighed it. I actually thought of this before i did it, that after that during qt i can just go and ask for God's forgiveness. But ive asked for God's forgiveness so many times that even I myself i dont know sometimes if i am putting on a mask or am i sincere.
In my opinion, I think it is very true that our outward appearance is definitely not equal to our inward thoughts. For example, the person who always act brave in front of others, but deep inside he's a coward. The person who is always shy and quiet sitting at a corner may be courageous of them all. For example, the person who is always acting so "christian-y" and so holy may have a christian walk that is weaker than a guy who is always joking around, not taking anything seriously. I am an example of that. I believe that a small thing will definitely lead to a bigger, more drastic and worse action. This thing that i did was exactly because I didnt nip it in the bud properly.
I remember there was once that jit (cg leader) who talked about that we shouldnt controll ourselves so much and "live by the spirit" and let the holy spirit to guide you. "You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ." (Romans 8:9) "Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation—but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God." (Romans 8:12-14) Well, then let God do what he needs to do.
"Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life—in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing." Phil 2:14-16. Hopefully this verse would inspire me.
"For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened." (Romans 1:20-21)
Oh ya i recently learnt (as in truly understand) what this verse really means "If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing." (1 Cor13:1-3) This verse reminds me that when Im dancing, even if I know all the technical stuff, but have no love for God, I am nothing. Another verse "Apart from God, I am nothing." (dont know why cannot find) This verse is really true. We all need God every single day of our lives, to watch over our lives, to manage our time for us, to give us wisdom adn guidance. yup.
To end off in an emo way:
I have sinned.
For when I am weak, then I am strong. (2Cor12:10)
Oh man i better stop watching youtube. Wasted one hour just now. Lol.
