Fw: Why go to church on Sunday?
:
If you're spiritually alive, you're going to love this! If you're spiritually dead, you won't want to read it. If you're spiritually curious, there is still hope!
Why Go To Church?
A Church goer wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper and complained that it made no sense to go to church every Sunday. "I've gone for 30 years now," he wrote, "and in that time I have heard something like 3,000 sermons. But for the life of me, I can't remember a single one of them. So, I think I'm wasting my time and the pastors are wasting theirs by giving sermons at all."
This started a real controversy in the "Letters to the Editor" column, much to the delight of the editor. It went on for weeks until someone wrote this clincher:
"I've been married for 30 years now. In that time my wife has cooked some 32,000 meals. But, for the life of me, I cannot recall the entire menu for a single one of those meals.. But I do know this ... They all nourished me and gave me the strength I needed to do my work. If my wife had not given me these meals, I would be physically dead today. Likewise, if I had not gone to church for nourishment, I would be spiritually dead today!" When you are DOWN to nothing.... God is UP to something! Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the impossible! Thank God for our physical AND our spiritual nourishment!
All right, now that you're done reading, send it on! I think everyone should read this! "When Satan is knocking at your door, simply say, "Jesus, could you get that for me?"

think about His love...:D
:
chorus :
Think about His love.
Think about His goodness.
Think about His grace,
That’s brought us through.
For as high as the heavens above,
So great is the measure,
Of our Father’s love.
Great is the measure of our Father’s love.
verse 1:
How could I forget His love?
How could I forget His mercy?
He satisfies. He satisfies.
He satisfies my desires.
( repeat chorus )
verse 2:
Even when I’ve strayed away,
His love has sought me out and found me.
He satisfies. He satisfies.
He satisfies my desires.
( repeat as desired )

did you ever talk to God above?
:
Did you ever talk to God above?
Tell Him that you need a friend to love.
Pray in Jesus’ name believing
that God answers prayer.
Have you told Him all your cares and woes?
Ev’ry tiny little fear He knows.
You can know He’ll always hear
And He will answer prayer.
You can whisper in a crowd to Him.
You can cry when you’re alone to Him.
You don’t have to pray out loud to Him;
He knows your thoughts.
On a lofty mountain peak, He’s there.
In a meadow by a stream, He’s there.
Anywhere on earth you go,
He’s been there from the start.
Find the answer in His Word; it’s true.
You’ll be strong because He walks with you.
By His faithfulness He’ll change you, too.
God answers prayer.

is love a feeling?
:
what a question man. That was my first thought when someone asked me that question. how to answer? lol. At first thot i think love is a natural feeling that God put inside all of us. We are made to love something someone anything! Even if you are an emo guy in one corner hating the world, you LOVE hating the world! Just kidding. Going off topic. Anyway love is something that a human being would naturally do. It's human nature! It's not so much of a responsiiblity or a burden. But it is just natural behavior. So i think that was what my friend was asking, is love MORE than a feeling?
When I asked another friend what was his view, he told me that there are different kinds of love. Suddenly that trigger off another whole new viewpoint. There are motherly love, fatherly love, sibling love, BGR, friend friend love, etc. People need to be loved to know that they are valued. Ya just to incorporate a little gospel magic here, people who dont feel love will go down disastrous things. Thats why you must know that God loves you! Haha.
Let's focus on loving people (not things, or actions) now. I think that firstly people need to love and be loved, to see the beauty and the value of the person. "Love your neighbour as yourself." Secondly, I think there's both right and wrong love. Our love should be honoring to God, as simply put. It is not lust, not dishonoring to parents, loving the person for who the person is really is, ya. There's something a few friends told me about which i cant agree on is that there is an age requirement to go into BGR. (e.g. you can only have girlfriend when you are 18 years old) Thankfully my church doesnt have this rule. :D But however, I think the intentions of this rule are good, but are doing it the wrong way. I think the purpose is for people who want to enter BGR to have some sort of maturity and wisdom (hopefully) before entering into it, so that they wouldnt do stupid acts. However by putting this rule it is as though God's will for people to enter BGR will only begin after 18 years old. Vague and baseless (ie not biblical) assumption dont you think?
Looking at all my friends having BGR, I'm really wanting to have one too. But can't find the right person. My friends are like 3 by now? Lol. I think I go for girls not for looks, really. I really hope that my will would be to remain single forever. "12For some are eunuchs because they were born that way; others were made that way by men; and others have renounced marriage because of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it." Matt 19:11-12 But I think let God soverign will control my life! Haha. God has a good, pleasing and perfect will for me and I'm willing to follow that!
God is my first love. **how chessy..lol**

my favourite church camp song!
:
in this life there are so many things
that we must learn and we must do
living a life that we have been told
searching for something that's not there
many questions have no answers
when we live our lives alone
in my darkness i have realised
that He's the way the truth and life
So in this world that God has given us
We have learnt life's true treasure
Is found in Jesus' Christ God's only Son
We must have faith hope and love in Him
We must bring glory and honor to our Father
The way we live our lives,
With Jesus as our guide
We must have faith hope and love in Him
For God so loved His children
He gave His only Son
That whoever choose to follow Him
He Will Have Everlasting Life!
